Placenta Encapsulation
In the postpartum period, placenta capsules are taken for some of the following benefits:

Placenta Tincture
The tincture can be used in addition to your capsules and provides different healing properties for mom and baby.
The tincture is made with a piece of the placenta and 100 proof alcohol. It takes approximately 6 weeks to cure and if stored properly can last a lifetime.

- Soothe indigestion for mom and baby

Services available w/ encapsulation

Doula clients- If I am at your birth and take the placenta home with me, there is no charge for placenta pick up and capsule drop off. I will bring the capsules to your home, depending on where you live, or meet a friend/family member within a few days after the birth.
Non-doula clients- We will discuss the proper procedures to make sure your placenta is handled appropriately after birth for encapsulation and make arrangements for pick up/delivery. If you reside outside of a 30 mile radius from my home, I will pick up the placenta and drop off capsules for an added fee.

Handling & Care
Please be at peace that I will handle your placenta with the utmost care. I only prepare one placenta at a time in a dedicated, sterile space with the proper use of PPE. All of the equipment I use is solely for the purpose of placenta services and is sterilized after every preparation.
I am a Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and have participated in a Bloodborne Pathogens Course.
